- How NIAT students are treated on campus
- The reality about uniforms and rules
- The complete lack of sports and free time
You pay premium fees for an "Industry 4.0" tech program. You expect a modern college experience. But here is the problem.
The campus life is nothing like they promise. It feels exactly like going back to high school.
Here is what I found as a real NIAT student at MRV in Hyderabad. We are paying way more than regular students but getting treated like kids.
Treated like school kids
This is not a modern tech campus. The environment is strict and highly controlled.
We are treated like school kids. You cannot just hang out or work on your own projects. They track your movement constantly.
Also, the rules are rigid. There is no flexibility to explore your interests outside of their fixed schedule.
The daily routine
Your entire day is mapped out. You sit in classrooms all day. It gets exhausting really fast.
Forced to wear uniforms
This was a huge shock for me. We are forced to wear the regular MRV college uniform.
They sell this as an elite, independent tech program. Yet we wear the exact same clothes as the regular BTech students who pay way less.
It makes you wonder what you are actually paying for. You do not get an exclusive identity.
Zero sports and free time
College is supposed to be more than just academics. But here is the thing.
There are no sports. We get no free time to play or relax. Extracurricular activities do not exist for us.
You literally just sit, listen to freshers teach, and go home. It is bad for mental health.
The 250% fee markup problem
So here is what happened. We pay a massive 250% fee markup compared to the regular university students.
And what do we get? The same uniforms. The same strict rules. No sports. No free time.
| What NIAT Promises | What You Actually Get |
|---|---|
| Premium modern tech program | Strict high school rules |
| Exclusive campus identity | Regular college uniforms |
| Holistic development | Zero sports and no free time |
| Value for money | 250% fee markup for a basic experience |
Bottom line. Do not expect a cool tech campus vibe. Expect a very strict, school-like environment.
