Your Degree Is Safe โ From NIAT
NIAT is a private company. Your degree is being awarded by the partner university โ MRV, Aurora, Chaitanya, or whichever institution you are actually enrolled in. NIAT has no legal authority to revoke your university enrollment or declare you a dropout. Only the university can do that, through its own processes.
If NIAT has threatened to mark you as a dropout, that threat has no legal standing. Respond to the university directly, not just through NIAT.
The UGC Has Already Flagged NIAT
The UGC issued a formal violation notice to NIAT on March 27, 2026 (Ref: No.F.6-3/2026(AMPC)). If you are in a fee dispute with NIAT, this letter significantly strengthens your position. The institution collecting fees from you has been told by the central government that its programme may be unauthorized.

Document Everything Now
Before doing anything else, back up every email, fee receipt, brochure, WhatsApp message, and promise made by NIAT during your admission process. Screenshot everything. Store it on Google Drive or email it to yourself. If a refund or scholarship was promised verbally, write a dated account of what was said and by whom while your memory is fresh.
You Are Not Alone
Students across multiple NIAT campuses report identical experiences. There is strength in numbers. Connect with other affected students and file complaints together โ collective consumer complaints receive faster attention.
